The Intelligent Car Coalition is proud to join the Steering Committee of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s new Road to Zero Coalition, which will outline measures to put the U.S. on the road to zero traffic fatalities.

The Road to Zero Coalition will provide a roadmap for policymakers and stakeholders to eliminate traffic deaths, encourage the widespread implementation of proven countermeasures to reduce vehicle crash deaths, and develop a scenario-based vision for U.S. traffic death prevention in the future.

As a first step, the ICC is participating on a panel at a day-long conference October 5th where National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Administrator Mark Rosekind will announce the Road to Zero initiative. NHTSA is joined in this effort by the Federal Highway Administration and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. To see a livestream of the meeting, and for more on the initiative, see
