Intelligent Car Coalition media partner Telematics Update is focusing on several issues crucial to the industry in upcoming shows, including cybersecurity – which will be one subject of examination at the upcoming Consumer Telematics Show in Las Vegas, NV.  Jaguar Land Rover, Green Hills Software, Autonet Mobile, Telit and McNamara Technology Solutions will join in a panel debate at CTS (Rio Grande Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Jan 5) to give insight on the most critical part of the connected car – keeping it safe from the threats of hackers.

Securing the car in the connected world is unquestionably a hot topic within the industry at the moment.  In theory, access to the car can be obtained from the Internet, if a way of accessing the desired private network can be found.  Therefore, the aim of the session at Consumer Telematics Show 2015 (held on the eve of International CES) is to analyze how robust current cyber security structures are and where to allocate future resources so that malicious attacks can be prevented.

The full agenda for the event can be found here the Consumer Telematics Show 2015 –

The Consumer Telematics Show is the biggest and best connected car event during International CES®. 500 senior executives will gather to witness a world-first presentation from Volvo’s Group CIO & Vice President, Klas Bendrik on their “Drive Me” Autonomous Car Project, as well as exclusive announcements from Nissan and Audi.

Throughout the day, delegates will have the opportunity to go beyond the hype and press releases of the New Year announcements by managing relationships with existing partners, meeting new leads and updating themselves on the latest connected car innovation.

The Intelligent Car Coalition will be in Las Vegas the week of January 5th attending both CTS and CES – and talking with industry leaders, covering product announcements, and identifying trends that will impact the creation of public policy in this space.
